Another of Baltray’s superb short holes. A large sand hill looms on the left of the green, very much in play for anything pulled from the tee. Three well-placed bunkers to the front and right complete the picture, making a centre-green tee shot the only sensible strategy.

The large sand hill left of the green is more in play than it looks, so resist the temptation to aim that way. Take an extra half club to account for any breeze and make a smooth, unhurried swing.
