One of Ireland’s most prestigious amateur golf events returns to Baltray this summer

County Louth Golf Club is proud to announce Pharmaher Healthcare as the official sponsor of the 2025 East of Ireland Men’s Amateur Open Championship. Taking place at our renowned Baltray links from 30th May to 1st June, this prestigious tournament continues a proud tradition of showcasing the very best of Irish amateur golfing talent.

Pharmaher Healthcare are one of Ireland’s leading healthcare distribution companies, serving the pharmacy and retail sectors for over 20 years with innovative over-the-counter healthcare solutions. Their commitment to excellence and performance makes them a natural fit for a competition that has long been defined by those same values.

Welcoming the sponsorship, Andrew Maher, Managing Director of Pharmaher Healthcare, said the company was proud to support a tournament that has served as a proving ground for Ireland’s most talented amateur golfers. He added that Pharmaher Healthcare shares the same drive for excellence, ambition and dedication to continuous improvement that defines this competition, and that the company is thrilled to support the next generation of Irish golfing talent.

Club Captain Ricky Morgan was equally enthusiastic about the partnership, describing the East of Ireland Amateur Open as one of the most prestigious events on the Irish amateur golf calendar. He noted that the support of Pharmaher Healthcare helps the club continue to provide a top-class experience for players and spectators alike.

The East of Ireland Men’s Amateur Open has a long and storied history at Baltray, and it is worth remembering that County Louth Golf Club is no stranger to landmark golfing moments. It was here in 2009 that a young Shane Lowry won the Irish Open as an amateur, a moment that captured the imagination of Irish golf fans and announced the arrival of a future major champion on the world stage. That spirit of discovering and celebrating emerging talent is very much alive in the East of Ireland Championship, and we cannot wait to welcome competitors and spectators alike this summer.
