County Louth Golf Club are delighted to announce that a new agreement has been reached with Kingspan, the global leader in high-performance insulation and building envelope solutions.
Speaking about the new agreement with Kingspan, Captain of County Louth Golf Club, Mr. Martin Healy comments “Having a sponsor is more than a commercial agreement, it is about having a partner that you can work with. Someone who shares your passion for what you are looking to achieve. We believe that Kingspan embody a lot of what is needed to further enhance this tournament into the future. Knowing that they support the likes of Shane Lowry, who won the 2009 Irish Open as an amateur here, was just an added bonus of linking up with Kingspan”
Excitement is already building for this year as the entries are in and there is a very strong field ready to contend for the trophy this June Bank Holiday weekend with the tournament taking place from June 1st – 3rd. Since the tournament began, it has always been one of the premier Irish Amateur events and has seen many of the Irish greats take part, many of whom have gone on to major golf success both in the amateur and professional ranks.
Richard Beswick, Kingspan Sports Sponsorship Manager comments “Sponsoring the Kingspan East of Ireland Championship embodies our inherent affinity for golf and amateur sports in Ireland. Golf resonates deeply with our customers and mirrors the values we cherish as a business.
Our partnership is a commitment to fostering local talent and building a sense of community through sports. Our connection with golf extends beyond this championship; It is reflected in our sponsorship of top Irish golfers such as Shane Lowry, Leona Maguire, and Mark Power, all of whom exemplify the talent and dedication within our nation's golfing community. Shane's remarkable victory at the Irish Open at County Louth Golf Club as an amateur in 2009 serves as a testament to the potential and passion nurtured within our amateur ranks.”
The quality of golf is sure to be some of the best on display and all are welcome to come along and watch the action during the event to get up close to the action.
